The Astungkara Way is a regenerative agriculture initiative based in Bali, Indonesia. Shoulder to shoulder with Balinese farmers, we are working to address the two greatest challenges they are currently facing. Firstly, to eliminate chemical inputs from their farming methods and return to traditional and natural ways of farming so soil quality and biodiversity can be regenerated. And secondly, to 'make farming sexy again' so that Balinese youths will return to farming the fields that are their heritage and a defining feature of Balinese traditional culture. The Astungkara Way invites selected groups of international students to engage in meaningful service learning projects in the rice paddies and in an agroforest in the heart of Bali.
Bring your students to get muddy with us, to learn from Bali's masters, and to take regenerative action alongside our team!
